This Vintage Antique Sheffield Thermometer looks so Art Deco with its Industrial Age metal skyscraper style case. It has a nice grey chippy patina that I would resist cleaning too much. It’s quite heavy and would look great on a desk, end table or console table with other antiques or by itself.
It advertises Sheffield, the maker, and was made in Dayton Ohio, good ole USA. Sheffield was an early maker of “precisionaire” thermometers that did not use mercury. So, even if you have pets or children, you won’t have to worry about cleaning up toxic mercury if this were to get broken. Measures 7 inches tall by 2 inches wide and deep.
